Stadion FK Inđija is a stadium among longest sport tradition in Srem and Vojvodina, it is located in near center of the town, near railroad station and main railroad direction Belgrade-Subotica-Budapest. It is built on the location that previously housed a locomotive depot. For decades it is a center of main football and other sports in town.

History

Right after founding the FK Železnik Inđija, the predecessor of FK Inđija, the playground was closed with fence, covered wooden seats were built, capacity about 600 seats. Changeroom as part of the stadium wasn't built until 1962. Until then the Changeroom was in Sport cafe across the stadium, wooden seats were because of age replaced with montage ones in 1970. In 2006 stadium got its today's look. Old removable stand was replaced with new, modern one equipped with plastic seats.

At first stadium could hold between 4,000 and 5,000 people. In last years the criteria was sharpen, for security and for comfort of viewers, so the capacity of the stadium was reduced to 3,500 seats but with all conditions to make the viewers more comfortable.

Plans

FK Inđija has presented, in 2006, the future plans for creating a new stadium on Inđijska Leja and it will have capacity of 9000 plastic seats. Having in mind the perspective of development and the needs of sport athletes, of the Inđija town this stadium, when it its finished, is expected to satisfy all the needs and ambitions. This is all in ambition for club to rise up to the first league playing club.
